Cardi B is advising Selena Gomez to not retire from music.
Gomez recently appeared on the cover of Vogue, and she explained what's next for her after releasing her Spanish language album, Revelación. But, Selena said she may retire after giving music "one last try". “It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously,” Selena said. “I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people, it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going." "I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different," she added, though she didn't elaborate on what she means by "different." Instead, she said she wants to give her music career "one last try before I maybe retire music."
At the moment Selena hasn't commented on Cardi's advice yet, but she told Vogue she would like to focus on her acting career. She said she'd like to spend more time producing and “give myself a real shot at acting.” She also said she hasn't yet "touched the surface of what I want to do." When it comes to her acting career, she says "the parts that I want are the ones I need help with. I can’t wait for the moment when a director can see that I’m capable of doing something that no one’s ever seen.” What do you think? Tweet us with your thoughts, @wearepoweruk.
