English City Of Leicester Placed Into FULL Lockdown Due To Worrying Rise In Coronavirus Cases6/30/2020 The English city of Leicester has been placed on FULL lockdown, as is the first city in the UK to experience a localised lockdown.
It comes after a deadly rise of Coronavirus cases in the city. What are the lockdown rules? - All non-essential shops will close again from Today (June 30). - Schools in the area will close from Thursday and will not reopen until next term, but some will stay open for vulnerable children and children of critical workers. - People living in the restriction zone are encouraged to "stay at home" as much as possible and only use public transport for essential travel. - Restaurants, pubs, cafes, hairdressers and cinemas will stay closed. How long will the lockdown last? There is no straightforward answer, but reviews will be carried out in two weeks time to see if any restrictions can be lifted.
