Camila Cabello revealed "God Is a Woman" was originally her track before it went to Ariana Grande. It's hard to imagine anyone other than the "Thank You Next" singer singing the hit single off her 2018 album Sweetener, but it turns out Cabello recorded a demo before ultimately realising it wasn’t a good fit for her, and it would be suited better for Grande. The former Fifth Harmony singer ended up passing on the song and it landed in Grande's hands — and the rest is history. The track went on to become a wild success and was even nominated for a Grammy. “I think they had a chorus for the song and then I wrote verses to it,” Cabello explained during an interview on his SiriusXM radio show, Radio Andy, last week. “It didn’t end up sounding right for me so then Ariana and everybody wrote to her version and it sounded amazing!".
