3 months after the first series winter love island series concluded, it seems that the lockdown has rocked apart not 1, but 2 relationships.
Ched Uzor and Jess Gale, who finished in 4th place on the hit ITV dating show are the first couple from the winter series to have split, with Ched stating that having been apart since the beginning of lockdown has made it “impossible to build a relationship” but still very much cares for Jess.
Fellow winter Love Island finalists Demi Jones and Luke Mabbot have also confirmed their split. The couple, who finished 3rd on the series couple up after Demi was dumped by Nas in favour of Eva.
Whilst they spent plenty of time together after the show ended, they were also forced over 300 miles apart due to the pandemic, with Demi living in Portsmouth and Luke residing in Redcar, in the north.
Luke has already mentioned to friends and family that his whirlwind romance with Demi is over for good, whereas Demi has chosen to keep the split on the low, due to an upcoming launch of a clothing line.
Sources gave said that there’s been no cheating or drama regarding split, but merely have drifted apart.
